The Teak system allows great flexibility
in assigning customer locations to routes resulting in savings in
two different ways:
- Since customer draw records are independent of routing, special
use routing can be invoked at the “last minute” to
more efficiently meet the delivery requirements of the moment.
For example, you can react to weather conditions or publisher
delivery problems at the last minute.
- Since a location can be assigned to multiple routes, fewer
routes will need to be run on light days than on full days. It
is estimated that a switch to day-specific routing can reduce
the total number of runs by 10%.
